Coldplayn, Santigoldin ja Justicen kanssa keikkaillut Charli XCX julkaisee perjantaina ”True Romance” -debyyttialbumin
Parhaillaan You (Ha Ha Ha)-singlellä valloittava brittiartisti Charli XCX julkaisee debyyttialbuminsa ”True Romance” 12. huhtikuuta ja saapuu konsertoimaan Tavastialle 15.4. ”True Romance” on tumma, emotionaalinen ja konesävytteineen poplevy, jonka tekoon on osallistunut Charli XCX:n lisäksi kuuluisat nimet kuten Ariel Reichstadt (Usher, Major Lazer, Solange) ja Patrik Berger (Lana del Rey, Robyn).
Charli XCX eli oikealta nimeltään Charlotte Aitchison on brittiläinen laulaja-lauluntekijä, joka on nuoresta iästään huolimatta ehtinyt saavuttaa paljon. Vasta parikymppinen neito on hurmannut suuren yleisön sinkuillaan ja viime vuonna ilmestyneellä EP:llään ”You're the One”. Neidon videot ovat keränneet yli 250 miljoonaa katselua Youtubessa ja lehdistön suitsutusta osakseen saanut laulajatar on ehtinyt kiertää keikkalavoja mm. Coldplayn, Santigoldin ja Justicen kanssa. Charli XCX on niittänyt mainetta lukuisissa tastemakerien blogeissa (mm. Blood Diamonds ja J£zus Millions) ja lehdistössä Atlantin molemmin puolin.
Charli XCX on hurmaa myös ruotsalaisduo Icona Popin sinkulla ”I Love It”. Kolmikko esitti kappaleen äskettäin yhdessä lavalla SXSW-festivaaleilla Yhdysvalloissa.
